Founder of Afghan Women’s Support Charity Foundation
Ms. Shamila Hassanzai, daughter of Al-Haj Mohammad Ashraf Hassanzai, was born in 1996 into a Pashtun, moderate, scholarly and open-minded family in Kabul. Her family later emigrated to Pakistan because of the civil wars.
Ms. Hassanzai is a lawyer who successfully completed her bachelor’s degree in Kabul. She has always fought to defend Afghan women’s rights, which is why she founded Afghan Women’s Support Charity Foundation: to cooperate in solving the problems of needy widows and to let their voices be heard all over the world, so that philanthropists and other individuals may help them. She also runs an embroidered clothing company for women.
She is always ready to make an effort to make Afghan women happy and to pave the way for them to take advantage of the human rights they deserve. She is honored to serve women with all honesty and humanity. She believes there are always soft-hearted people in the world who help the poor and share their feelings, so let us help one another as human beings.
